Airport Security Fees will remain at one thousand dalasis (D1000) according to the Ministry of Interior. A press release was issued on May 31, 2023 announcing the announcement.

“The Ministry of Interior (MOI) is concerned to learn that Securiport has raised the security fee at the Banjul International Airport (BIA) from D1,000 to D1,200. As announced by the ministry, the increase was made without prior consultation with or authorization from the Ministry of Interior.

The minister reaffirmed that the Gambia government has not changed the current security fee, which is D1000 or US$20.

While the Ministry of Interior regrets this unfortunate development, they assure citizens and travelers that they will continue to diligently fulfill their oversight mandate.
