GAMBIA: PRESIDENT BARROW DECLARES CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S DAY TO BE PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

State House, Banjul, 21st December 2023: 

The Public is hereby informed that the President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Adama Barrow, acting under section 76 of the 1997 Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, is pleased to declare Monday, 25th December and Tuesday, 26th December 2023, as well as Monday, 1st January 2024 as Public Holidays throughout The Gambia, in observance of the upcoming Christmas and New Year feasts.

The President seizes this opportunity to wish the Christians in The Gambia and around the world a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year in advance.
