Bakary Y Badgie, a representative of Foni Bintang Karanai in the National Assembly, has verified the demise of Duwa Badgie, a Gambian national who was murdered a month ago by Senegalese troops.

It is worth noting that Mr. Badgie was shot and injured by Senegalese soldiers last month while traveling from Kanilai. The soldiers reportedly dragged him to their camp without providing immediate medical assistance until the following day.

NAM According to Badgie, a fact-finding mission was undertaken by the defense minister and others in order to uncover the truth and establish communication with the public. However, when questioned about Duwa’s whereabouts, the soldiers were unable to provide the crew with definitive information.

“According to information obtained from reliable sources, he passed away prior to his arrival at the hospital. However, the precise location of the deceased remained unknown until Tuesday, when it was officially announced at Ziguinchor Hospital, infuriating and disheartening the family.” “The corps remains in Senegal,” NAM Badgie revealed in an exclusive interview with The Voice yesterday.

He explained that the Minister of Defense did not know whether Duwa was alive or deceased during the fact-finding expedition, but that according to information obtained from sources, Duwa had already passed away by the time of the mission.

Additionally, he claimed that the Gambian Minister of Defense was attempting to establish communication with his Senegalese counterpart concerning the subject. Nonetheless, it is inconsequential, as neither of them were able to deduce the reason, and while the precise date of Mr. Badgie’s death has yet to be determined, his remains were presented to his family on Tuesday.

Malang Badgie, the son of the late Duwa Badgie, explained that they had not received any updates regarding his whereabouts since his father was shot by Senegalese soldiers until Tuesday, when one of his cousins paid him a visit and informed him that he had passed away.

“We are unable to ascertain the exact date of my father’s passing because our attempts to pay him a visit were consistently denied. He emotionally explained, “On Tuesday, I received word that he had passed away via a phone call from my mother, who informed me that my uncle had visited him but was informed that he was no longer alive.”

“It’s far too tragic.” The thought of your parent being arrested and neglected, only to be informed of his passing, is beyond my comprehension. Malang further stated, “My siblings have been inconsolable since Tuesday; they have yet to witness his remains but have been informed that he is at the Ziguinchor Hospital.”

Moreover, he asserts that while every effort is being made to transport the corpse to The Gambia, the matter is beyond their control due to the fact that it requires a diplomatic agreement between the two nations.
