An alleged robbery occurred at Access Bank, Brusubi, between 1:33 PM and 1:35 PM, lasting approximately three minutes. According to CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, three men entered the bank from behind, accessing the banking hall through the main entrance.

The footage shows all three men carrying pistols, although only one of them pulled out a short gun, prompting the bank’s security officers to flee and hide. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported inside the bank. The robbers were seen collecting an unidentified amount of money from the teller’s counter before exiting through the same route they entered.

An eyewitness reported that the robbers fled in a Benz V-Boot vehicle without a number plate.
In a separate incident at 2:56 PM today in Kunkujang Badjie Estate, a case of robbery with violence was reported at a Western Union bureau. According to the complainant, three unknown men, one armed with a pistol, entered the bureau and tied up the employee, Yankuba Darboe, before forcefully taking cash totaling D77,275. The suspects then fled the scene.

The Police are onsite to verify the details of both incidents and are actively working to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen funds. The public is strongly urged to provide any information that may assist in identifying and locating the perpetrators.
