Ousmane Sonko’s interrogation is over. His lawyers, who have just left the courthouse, have taken stock.

Phone theft and call for insurrection. This is therefore what the public prosecutor accuses Ousmane Sonko, who was arrested on Friday. The lawyers for the leader of Pastef, who have just left the General Affairs Brigade where the interrogation has just ended, spoke on these two points.

“Who can imagine Mr. Ousmane Sonko stealing a cell phone? But it is perhaps the pretext that has been found to arrest him. Today the call to insurrection is placed on him. And certainly we will try to put on him all the events that have happened in this country in the last two years. This is what motivates him to be currently selected, ”explained Demba Ciré Bathily to me.

The member of Ousmane Sonko’s pool of lawyers stresses, however, that the leader of Pastef is doing well. He is in good spirits, he says. However, where will he spend the night?

“I don’t know if it’s in the Tribunal or elsewhere, in any case the only thing we’re saying is that we left him in very good health in the hands of the security forces and we hope to find him in good health”, says the spokesman of the day of the pool of lawyers of Sonko.
