The minister of lands, regional governments, and religious affairs, Ousman Sowe, has returned to The Gambia in excellent condition after receiving medical care in Saudi Arabia.
He has promised to keep pushing for the nation’s advancement.
On Saturday, Sowe, the former head of the nation’s State Intelligence Service (SIS), and his family took a plane from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia back to the country.
Mr. Sowe quickly thanked the Gambian people for their support and well wishes, especially the president, His Excellency Adama Barrow, the first family, his cabinet colleagues, and government employees from the Ministry of Local Governments, Lands, and Religious Affairs.
The Minister of Lands disclosed the abundance of well-wishes and prayers he was showered with during what he called a “tough time.”
Along with praising the Gambian medical staff for giving him the much-needed care during the initial few days of his illness, he also complimented the Saudi Medical Team for their professionalism.
Shortly after stepping off the special aeroplane from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he declared, “I am looking forward to continuing the good work we had started,” as he left the Banjul International Airport.
