Due to continuing maintenance on both ferries, the management of the Gambia Ferry Service has declared a temporary stop to ferry operations between Banjul and Barra for the next 24 hours. Ferries Management apologised in a statement issued early on Monday morning for the two ships' malfunction at the Banjul/Barra crossing, which resulted in the suspension of operations. The two ferries at the Banjul/Barra ferry crossing broke down, and the management of Gambia Ferries regrets to notify the public of this. Consequently, there might not be a ferry for the next twenty-four hours, according to a statement released by the ferry service management early on Monday.
