GAMBIA: MACKY SALL IN BANJUL

Several agreements are signed. The President is accompanied by a dozen Ministers and several experts. He reiterated, this Tuesday in Banjul, the importance of making the Senegambian space a reality that lives up to the aspirations of peace, security and economic progress.

In his speech Macky Sall added to let it be known that in Dakar as “in Banjul, in Serrekunda as in Tambacounda, our daily life, our ancestral traditions, our tales and legends, our rites and myths are the same. This is why we have a family obligation to consolidate and perpetuate this ancestral heritage, generation after generation”.

He thus welcomed the progress made by the two countries in the field of energy cooperation, referring to the inauguration in October 2021 of the substation and the network of power lines of the OMVG, Organization for the development of the Gambia River at Jarra Soma.-

The President of the Republic also pointed out that at the bilateral level, SENELEC supplies electricity to NAWEC, through the connection points of Keur Ayib and Karang.
