GAMBIA: POLICE RECEIVED A REPORT REGARDING THE DEATHS OF SEVEN NAWEC PERSONNEL DUE TO ELECTIC SHOCK.

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the Barra Police received a report of an incident at Kerr Gallo. The incident involved seven NAWEC personnel who are suspected to have died from an electric shock while working on or erecting an electric pole.

The police are currently on the site to investigate and ascertain the circumstances that precipitated this tragic incident.

As we mourn this tragic loss, the Gambia Police Force extends its sincere condolences to the families, friends, NAWEC, and the Gambian people.

Any developments concerning this incident will be communicated to the general public.
