Exposing a scandal from an Oil Marketing Company (OMC) insider confirms the Open Gambia (OG) revelation of Russian Cartel and Statehouse actors Monopolising the Petroleum Product markets and control over the GAMPETROLEUM storage facilities.

OG got contacted by an OMC insider after our publications exposed the Russian Cartel and President Barrow’s clan monopolising the Petroleum trade and taking over the Gampatroleum facility. The contact confirms the accuracy of our report by saying, “I have a lot of information on the Fuel reportage you’ve been doing. 90% of what you posted was true, But there are more and more people”!

STATEMENT FROM OMC INSIDER!

In confirming our reports on the business operations of the Russian Cartel with the Gambian counterparts, the OMC insider gave the statement below:

1. Clement Koranteng, a Ghanaian National and a long-time resident in the Gambia registered Creed Energy in 2021.

2. In early 2023, Mr Clement contacted a friend of his (Nana Kofi Amoako Addo) who had business contacts with Russian energy companies. Mr Clement convinced Mr Addo to divert a Russian oil shipment destined for Ghana to the Gambia to open a new market in the Gambia.

3. Mr Addo took heed of his friend’s advice and delivered the Russian oil cargo to the Gambia under the care of Mr Clement’s company (Creed Energy). Nana later registered his own company called Ultimate Biege Logistics company.

4. Sheikh Omar Gigo was contacted to assist Mr Clement and Nana in selling the cargo but had never been an associate of the Creed Energy Company.

5. The Russian Company is APOGEE FZC, led by Julia Sajeeva, a Russian National under the American Sanctions list. Julia’s assistant is another Russian national, Mr Aurimass. They are importing petroleum products directly from Russia and breaking the Sanctions embargo.

6. Mr Ebrima Jabbie, who controls the First Lady’s (Fatoumata Bah Barrow) business interest, registered a company, J T Energy. J T Energy has a Monopoly on exporting petroleum products to the Malian Markets.

7. Mr Addo (Ultimate Beige Logistics) broke off business ties with his friend Mr Clement (of Creed Energy). He now partnered with Mr Jabbie (J T Energy), the Statehouse insider man. The partnership controls the Russian oil Sanctions busting and working with the Russian company APOGEE FZC.

8. The Energy Minister (Abdou Jobe) and the Managing Director of GAMPETROLEUM (Yerro Jallow), under executive instructions, are facilitating the illegal monopoly and Russian Oil sanction busting.

9. The Russian Company can’t get registered in the Gambia due to Western Sanctions. They raised Invoices through local accounts. If the account is with Access Bank, they used the account of Creed Energy. If it’s with Eco Bank, they apply the account of Ultimate Biege Logistics company, owned by the two Ghanaian nationals.

10. The Malian clients are now paying for their products directly to the Russian bank accounts at Banks in Dubai or Turkey. Depriving the country of foreign exchange and possibly evading to pay the tax.

The APOGEE FZC financial director, Tatiana Volkonskaya, operated a Post office Box address in the United Arab Emirates.

The OMC insider confirms that the Gampetroleum depot is packed with petroleum products from the Russian Cartel with a new vessel they brought in, MT Ceaser. No other trader or company can bring in cargo, creating a monopoly for the Russians and their counterparts, forcing the OMC to purchase only APOGEE FZC petroleum products.

The OMC insider also alleged that the Russian Cartel is selling beyond the Price structure and with a very high exchange rate contravening the price structure.
