President Barrow has expressed profound sadness on Ambassador Alieu K Jammeh’s passing, who served as The Gambia’s High Commissioner to Sierra Leone until his demise.

The President remembers Ambassador Jammeh as an honest and dedicated diplomat who served his country with honour and excellence. Through his years of service, he immensely strengthened The Gambia’s bilateral relations with the countries he served as Ambassador.

His latest diplomatic engagement was in Ivory Coast, where he received the President during his official visit and facilitated his meeting with the Gambians in Abidjan last month.

President Barrow prays that Allah grants him Jannatul Firdaws and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
