From the information shared by the government spokesperson and the final message coming from the National Security Adviser (NSA), there is no evidence provided or a plausible narrative advance to convince the people of the alleged Plot/attempted Coup. Instead, they keep raising more questions than answers from the statement they share with the public.
They can never convince us that a Lance Corporal will lead other senior commission and non-commission officers into a coup that involves gaining support from a battalion of soldiers to tackle the internal forces and the foreign troops and stopping reinforcement from their national, including getting financiers and political backers to execute the coup plot!
People need to remember that the information provided by the state isn’t yet backed up with evidence, and we aren’t sure how what they presented as intelligence was obtained. What’s certain is that it doesn’t sound plausible, and it isn’t against military regimentations or operational conventions for a Lance Corporal to lead Commission and Non- commission officers.
So the additional information provided by the NSA is only information that raised more questions that need to be answered.
Strangely, the NSA read out the statement that maintains the theory that a Lance Corporal led the plot that required a combination of joining forces with superior weaponry against the Senegalese and ECOMIG troops to conduct the operations.
Financiers are business minded. Civilians, Politicians or Diasporans aren’t naive or stupid. I can’t imagine them investing in betting or supporting a Lance Corporal to overthrow a government supported by its forces with additional backup from multinational foreign troops.
Why is the state not publish the complete profile of those soldiers on the run with their picture? How can the state be assisted in finding the culprits? Or it’s a case of another fails flag?
What’s the state waiting for to Invite those Civilians or Politicians suspected of supporting and financing the Coup Plot? Was this the crux of the entire government-manufactured conspiracy to target the critics holding them accountable? Due to the lack of essential links to those arrested, these people couldn’t get arrested, which led to the first victim Mr SABALLY released without charge. Without the widespread support for SABALLY, the state could have manufactured evidence as, from the initial investigation, they had established that SABALLY had no connections to the alleged coup plotters.
If people aren’t vigilant to ensure justice gets served, many will become victims of injustice, further pushing our nation to another dictatorship.
As some of us are aware, the state investigation is struggling to establish any essential evidence linking a relationship between the entire people’s arrests which is stopping them from advancing to demand the arrest of those they want to silence!
Mr Sankareh and the SIS Director general Sowe, are plying pressure on the investigator to manufacture evidence to proceed with the case; so far, there is a great deal of resistance from some quarters, which has led to the concealment of the names of members of the investigation panel.
Warning to the Newly appointed NSA!
Mr Abubakarr Suleiman Jeng’s appointment as the new National Security Adviser (NSA) got backdated to effective 1st December 2022,” the government said in a statement dated 28th December 2022.
It’s evident that his appointment, which got delayed, was only fast-tracked and backdated for him to use in giving credibility to the conspiracy hatch by Sankareh and Sowe, which led him to be thrown at the deep end, forcing him to read a press statement that repeated nonsense and exaggerated the conspiracy to win over doubters.
Remind Mr Jeng he was a victim of such dealing. He’s supposed to know better! Where there is no primary evidence to back up the allegations, the investigations should be terminated, not prolong the detention of alleged plotters.
How will the Investigation panel improve on the enquiries without any circumstance or substantial material evidence provided from the primary investigations? Is the state willing to apply illegal means like Phycological or physical torture to obtain confessions, or will they produce a Rue Jabbi Gassama fake witness before the panel?
If the state had evidence against the accused, they would get charged and processed to appear before the court for the state to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. That would have been following due process and applying the rule of law for a free trial in democratic governance.
Proceeding with an invention panel, especially one held in SECRET, isn’t following the due process of the law and does not apply to using best practices. Still, it confirms the length the state is ready to go copying the dictator’s methods to convict likely innocent citizens!
Will Mr Abou Jeng allow himself to become an accomplish and get used by (Sankareh and Sowe) the state conspirators, or will he do the right thing and ensure justice gets served?
We presently have the two Musketeers. Will Mr Jeng be the third Musketeer? History will be the judge!
