Janjanbureh Residents Demand Restoration of Bus Service

Yandeh Jagne, a resident of Janjanbureh, has raised concern over the removal of the bus that served the town, saying the move has left many people stranded.

According to Jagne, the withdrawal of the service has made life difficult for students, market traders, patients, and the elderly, who now lack affordable and reliable transportation.

“This action is unacceptable. As people of Janjanbureh, we are not happy, and we demand that The Gambia Transport and Service Company immediately reinstate the bus or provide an alternative,” she stated.

Jagne emphasized that she had witnessed the situation in the past when the town had no bus service and described the current development as unfair to residents.
