Adji Sarr-Ousmane Sonko case: The trial sent back to a special hearing

The trial between Ousmane Sonko and Adji Sarr has been adjourned until Tuesday May 23 in a special hearing.

Ousmane Sonko’s lawyers contest this date and ask for a period of 45 days to better refine their defense.

In this case, Mr. Sonko is being prosecuted for rape and death threats against Adji Sarr, an employee of a beauty salon in the capital.

He was still in Ziguinchor on Tuesday morning, moments before the start of the hearing.
