Youths Causing Nuisance At The Nema Garage Charged With Assault, Leaving Taxi Passenger To Loose His Tooth

At 18:37hrs S/I Ceesay and men on day task force arrived in the charge with the following people accused of causing nuissance at Nema garage at Latrikuda Sabiji, Pa Modu sallah of latrikunda, Lamin Saho of thesame address, Gibril Jarju of Badjie Estate coastal Road, Dembo Jammeh of Bundung and Ebrima Badjie of Bundung all of them adults.

According to Lamin Saho a complainant,he was together with PaModou Sallah going work and they join a taxi not far from their home beside Nema garage at latrikunda Sabiji. The complainant further stated that the moment he and Pa Modou board in the taxi, Gibril who claim to be a driver among the Gayle gayle Owners , came with an old vehicle tyre and block the passage of the taxi they were in. Together with the said taxi driver , they plead to Gibril to let them go but to no avail. An arguiment broke out inbetween Gibril ( gayle gayle driver) and Lamin Saho( a passenger) which result to a fight . During the fight, the complainant loose his teeth due to a heavy blow from the accuse Gibril Jarju. The commotion continued and Dembo Jammeh also ,who claimed to be a brother to Gibril, went and armed himself with cutlass and got involve to defend his brother. All the parties were arrested , statement obtained from the witnesses and the accuse persons charged for assault causing actual bodily harm and armed in public. Case file forwarded for further directives
