The session, hosted by the All People’s Party (APP Sobeyaa), convened representatives of political parties and movements from previous sessions, alongside new political movements joining the process.The day-long meeting advanced efforts to consolidate diverse party positions into a unified opposition front ahead of the December 2026 Presidential Election.*Opening Session**CTMC Chairman Professor Yerro Mballow* opened the session by welcoming participants and thanking APP Sobeyaa for hosting. He briefed delegates on the Committee’s ongoing outreach to political parties and movements nationwide.Prof. Mballow outlined the CTMC roadmap, noting that a series of strategic sessions will deliver: a binding Code of Conduct, a 5-Point Common Agenda, the Kairaba 2.0 Charter signing, a seat-sharing formula, a dispute resolution tribunal, a binding timeline, a flagbearer selection mechanism, a unified campaign structure, and a joint manifesto.“The CTMC is a neutral body mandated to design and mediate talks toward a single opposition candidate and a common agenda for December 2026,” he stated. “Our mandate is to partner with political leaders and movements to build a credible, rules-based coalition.”*Secretary General Mr. Ebrima S. Bah* presented the minutes of the previous session to the general assembly. The minutes were moved, seconded, and unanimously adopted.*Host Remarks*Remarks on behalf of the host were delivered by *APP Sobeyaa Secretary General and Party Leader, Essa Mbye Faal*, who reaffirmed his party’s commitment to a principled and united opposition process.*Key Deliberations and Resolutions**Terms of Reference Ratified:* Members reviewed, modified, and ratified the CTMC Terms of Reference for adoption.*Two-Month Activity Calendar Adopted:* The Committee discussed and adopted a general activity calendar to guide upcoming sessions. *Fundraising Committee:* Delegates agreed on the process for selecting a Fundraising Committee to resource CTMC operations.*Work Plan Presented:* The Secretariat presented the calendar of activities for the next two months.*Any Other Business:* Members held a wide-ranging debate on additional agenda items submitted for consideration.*Next Session*The meeting was adjourned for continuation and will reconvene on *Saturday, 16 May 2026*, at *Baobab Hotel, Bijilo*. The 5th Strategic Session will be hosted by a civic movement, to be announced by the Secretariat in due course.*CTMC Mandate*The CTMC reiterates that it is a neutral facilitation platform. It does not endorse parties or candidates.
