The ministers of Agriculture, Environment, and Interior, all described the late Vice President as a good, helpful, humble, and hardworking man.

Seyaka Sonko, the minister of Interior said the late VP was a very hard-working man who always encouraged them to perform well

“The VP is a hardworking man. The one who encourages us to perform to the maximum and wherever he feels that you are not performing well he tries to encourage us to improve. We found him to be very supportive of the president, all of us will feel his absence,” he stated

The Minister of Agriculture, Demba Sabally said, the VP has dedicated all his life to the service of the nation

“Throughout his work with us he has proven to be extremely helpful, to be reliable, to be available and he has always been there for his Excellency, he has always been there for the cabinet, he has been a mentor for most of us, he has always been extremely helpful.

“Badara is a great man that the country has lost, that the cabinet has lost that every Gambian person should remember as somebody who has contributed immensely to our nation,” he said.

The Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Natural resources, Rohey John Manjang said, the late VP has always been her friend

“The VP mentioned that we have to be loyal to what we have signed for as a contractor, as a civil servant. It is a day of mourning, my heart is full. The VP has always been my friend and mentor. He has been my defender.

“VP would agree to any proposal or assignment I ask him or requested from him. Definitely. I ask Allah to Grant him Jannatul Firdawsi,” she said.

The ministers make these remarks at the signing of the Condolence book of the late Vice President at StateHouse.
