After the Sweet Beauty trial last Tuesday, Ousmane Sonko announced that he would unroll the freedom caravan, whose mission is to remove President Macky Sall from the Palace. This Friday, May 26, the convoy will depart.

According to our source, it is not specified what time the departure will take place. The departure will take place in the morning, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., after the farewell ceremony, during which Ousmane Sonko will be flanked by young people and women, particularly those from the sacred woods, until he departs.

In addition to the mayor’s personal vehicle, three to four other 4X4 type vehicles are also expected. On his journey, activists have also pledged to accompany him.

As the freedom caravan proceeds from Ziguinchor, it will pass through Sédhiou, Kolda, and finally Vélingara. The next steps should be: Tambacounda, Koumpentoum, Koungheul, Kaffrine, Kaolack, Fatick and Mbour.
