SENEGAL: THE “DIALOGUE” TO ELIMINATE OUSMAN SONKO FROM THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

The conclusions of the “national dialogue” submitted to President Macky Sall for validation allow the participation of Karim Wade (PDS), Khalifa Sall (Taxaw) and Macky Sall whom the Constitution nevertheless excludes from the presidential election of February 2024 while maintaining the Damocles sword of the exclusion of O. Sonko. This “everything except Sonko” was presented by Marie-Angélique Savané, ex-left communist Maoist with her husband Landing Savané (AJ Authentique) with the blessing of the ex-left communists of the PIT, the LD, AJ de Decroix, the managements so-called representative unions, etc.

The overwhelming majority of the opposition in Yewwi Askan Wi, particularly patriotic and civil society, notably the F24, have, despite arbitrary bans, organized the “popular dialogue” and are preparing to decline their action plan against the third illegal candidacy, against the impediment of the candidacy of O. Sonko, against the liberticidal attacks on individual and collective rights, for the release of political prisoners and the judicial punishment of the killers of the 30 demonstrators plus the 14 of 2021.

Everything happens as if the youth and the people are scrutinizing the next attack by Macky/APR/BBY against O. Sonko, whose access to his home is barricaded by the forces of repression, against Pastef-Les patriotes and the announcement by Macky Sall of his unconstitutional candidacy.

The neocolonial liberal power is in a political, judicial, diplomatic, even repressive impasse. The continuing arbitrary arrests, the recalling of released police, gendarmes and soldiers to active duty, the recruitment of thugs, the media manipulation tending to present the patriotic resistance as “terrorism, complicity with the separatists of the MFDC, to pass the executioners (the outlaw stateless State) for the victim of “occult, Salafist forces”, the headlong rush on the dozens of deaths by bullets, the tortures, the wounded and the hundreds, even thousands of arbitrary detainees are largely unmasked in the eyes of national, African and world public opinion.

What will happen now is in the hands of President Macky Sall: or his personal interests and his predatory bourgeois clan or the national interest?! Or respect for the law and the rule of law or the chaos of the destabilization of the country?!

Feeling his political end coming, Senghor had handed over the baton to Diouf to save the neocolonial power PS, the liberal Wade (PDS) succeeded the social-liberal Diouf of the PS to save the neocolonial system, the liberal Wade accepted a second liberal alternation for the benefit of one of his liberal “sons” Macky to save “liberal power for 50 years”. What will Macky Sall decide “ci-djeck”: force and throw the country into the adventure of a third candidacy that no Senegalese can accept? Is it possible to open the Pandora’s box of the 2024 presidential election without Sonko’s participation? These are the two questions posed and to be resolved by Macky Sall who is the only one who can thus decide the fate of the 17 million Senegalese under the presidentialism which carries with it the fascistic autocratic drift which he has shown so far. So let’s save Private Sunugal that Macky/APR/BBY want to sink.
