Anna Diamanka, the wife of Ousmane Sonko, made a strong appeal to the Head of State, Macky Sall, and to the First Lady, Marième Faye Sall. The two wives of the former Pastef leader are worried about their husband’s state of health and demand his release and that of all political detainees. They call for an end to the violence.

“ Ousmane Sonko’s situation is alarming. Mr. President Macky Sall, His Excellency, we ask you to let Ousmane Sonko go home. There is no more hope where he is…We ask you to let him return to his family to heal…We also ask for clemency for all the detainees. We are now at 1020 detainees… “, declared Anna Diamanka, in an interview, on Dakar morning.

The wife of the mayor of Ziguinchor calls for calm and peace. “  I also ask the First Lady to have mercy on the detainees. Prison is difficult for children… I solemnly ask her as a mother, as a woman, to help young people find freedom. It is a call for peace. We want peace. And we have to stop the violence…Whether we say it or not, people are sad… ”, she argued.
