Three constables from the Police Intervention Unit (PIU) were shot at by an unnamed attacker at the Sukuta Traffic Light in a frightening act of violence that has been reported to the Gambia Police Force.

The circumstances surrounding this occurrence were puzzling, keeping this violent attack’s secretive motivation hidden. The wounded cops received prompt medical attention at the Sukuta Health Center before being sent on to the Ndemban Clinic in Bakau owing to the severity of their wounds. As we anticipate more information from the hospital administration, our excitement is growing.

An emergency manhunt has been launched in response to this serious scenario in order to find and capture the person or persons responsible for this occurrence. The lone shooter, who was seen donning a Kaftan and carrying a weapon, is specifically described in detail by a male civilian eyewitness who is actively assisting the police investigation.

The general public is sincerely urged to exercise caution and report any suspicious behavior right away to the local police station in order to aid in the ongoing search.
