GAMBIA: MOMODOU SABALLY QUESTIONED BY THE POLICE

Momodou Sabally has been invited to be questioned by the Gambia Police Force in relation to his Facebook postings that were posted only a few days before the murder of two police officers at the Sukuta Traffic Light. This has been verified by the Gambia Police Force.
“The Gambia Police Force has extended an invitation to Mr. Momodou Sabally for questioning regarding comments he posted on his Facebook page in the days preceding the regrettable incident that resulted in the tragic loss of two police officers and the hospitalization of another in critical condition,” the police said. “The Gambia Police Force has extended an invitation to Mr. Momodou Sabally for questioning regarding comments he posted on his Facebook page in the days preceding the regrettable incident.”

Additionally, according to the police, Mr. Sabally is ‘actively’ working with the police throughout the inquiry.

As a conclusion, they said, “The Gambia Police Force reminds the public that the invitation extended to Mr. Sabally is in line with standard investigative procedures and underscores our commitment to upholding the rule of law.”
