NIGERIA: PRESIDENT BARROW ARRIVES IN ABUJA FOR THE ECOWAS 64TH ORDINARY SUMMIT

President Adama Barrow arriving in Abuja for the ECOWAS summit

President Adama Barrow arrived in Abuja on Saturday afternoon to attend the 64th Ordinary session of the ECOWAS Heads of State and Government. Upon arrival, he was received by the Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo.

Also, the Gambia’s High Commission to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammed Papa Njie, Staff of the Embassy and a delegation of Gambians in Abuja were at the Airport to welcome President Barrow.

The President and his fellow Heads of State and Government are expected to review reports on the situation in the subregion and share conclusions on the outcome of their deliberations.

Aside from the main Summit, President Barrow is scheduled for bilateral meetings and audiences to strengthen regional cooperation and networking.
