GAMBIA: SENEGALESE PRESIDENT BASSIROU DIOMAYE FAYE TO VISIT BANJUL ON APRIL 20TH FOR HIS FIRST STATE VISIT

On Saturday, April 20th 2024, the newly inaugurated President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, will pay his first official visit to The Gambia. After sweeping to office with 54.8 percent of the votes in Senegal’s presidential elections, President Faye is expected to attend the forthcoming OIC conference in The Gambia on May 4th 2024.

President Faye became the youngest head of state in Senegal at the age of 44 after receiving a substantial mandate from the public in his landslide victory with 54.8% of the votes. With 35.79% to his closest opponent Amadou Ba who took second in the elections.
