The Gambia government has backed down under pressure from the advocacy and Diplomatic pressure from the New Senegalese administration to maintain the old tariff of D30,000 a truckload of one thousand bags of cement instead of the increase of D183,000 a truckload for the importation of Cement across the border from Senegal.

The over one hundred trucks stranded at the Farafenni Border post are now paying and departing to their respective location of trade!
