The attorneys representing Senegalese business tycoon Abdoulaye Thiam filed an appeal on Monday, June 10, 2024, challenging the decision of a Senegalese court to acquit Aisha Fatty of the blackmailing charge that was lodged against her.

Aisha Fatty was acquitted and discharged of the blackmail complaint filed against her by her ex-lover, Abdoulaye Thiam, by the Court.

The criminal accusations involving the Public Prosecutor, Abdoulaye Thiam as the civil party, and Aisha Fatty are the subject of the appeal against the judgement issued by the court of flagrante delictos on June 7, 2024.
The counsel submitted a Notice of Appeal, numbered 0348, to the Registrar Administrator of the High Court in Dakar Hors Class, Master MameMor BITEYE. Abdoulaye Thiam sought to contest the entirety of the judgement issued on June 7, 2024.

The Judgement absolved Aisha Fatty of allegations regarding the illicit collection of personal data, the dissemination of morally objectionable images, and the retrieval of her blue iPhone 15.

The Notice of Appeal stated that they intend to provide additional information and the rationale for the appeal at a later time.
