Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) is set to benefit from the United Nations Capital Development Fund’s (UNCDF) $26 million Blue Peace Fund to support its development programs. During a recent visit to UNCDF headquarters, Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda discussed the status of the fund and addressed bottlenecks delaying its disbursement.

The visit followed Bensouda’s participation in the Round Table of Mayors Migration Council meeting, where global mayors and development organizations gathered under the UN General Assembly. The fund aims to enhance KMC’s development projects and boost cooperation with international partners.
