Despite fulfilling requirements, GALA’s registration was rejected due to its name, “Gambians,” which they argue shouldn’t be an issue based on the law.

They accuse the government of suppressing dissent and undermining anti-corruption efforts. GALA vows to continue its work, promoting transparency and accountability, with or without state approval. They call on genuine individuals and bodies to support their cause, emphasizing the importance of equal application of the law.
