In early 2021, during President Barrow’s visit to the GAMPETROLEUM facility, OG blew the whistle on the president’s move to take control of
The petroleum facility to install his lackeys through whom he would loot and ultimately ruin the company for his personal illicit wealth accumulation ambition. Since then, we have chronicled the events that, with the help of insider whistleblowers and the Russian oil Syndicate scandal, have vindicated us as the once-thriving corporation is nearing collapse under the Management of Yarro Jallow and the Barrow clan operating the facility in the last two years.
Last week, after our hot exposure of
Gampetroluem corruption and GM Yarro Jallow’s role in the Russian substandard oil Syndicate with the case of a contaminated fuel tank at the depot, we received information from an insider at GamPetroleum that GM Yarro Jallow is getting mad at some senior managers, threatening them with disciplinary action while accusing them of leaking information to our medium. We guarantee that none of our insider whistleblowers are intimidated by GM Jallow’s cowardly act.
The insider emphasises the importance the publication plays in holding the senior management accountable as if it hadn’t been for the whistling blowing, the company would have collapsed earlier. They stress that they will continue to blow the whistle until either management gets rid of them or they change their ways, and it’s a means of guaranteeing accountability.
The insider whistleblower alleged that due to senior management’s incompetence and Corruption, they were aware of GM Yarro Jallow and the Senior HR manager’s (Mr ModouLamin Gaye) plans to lay off staff rather than control the corruption and impose cost-efficiency savings to salvage the company from complete collapse.
The insider said that most of the staff agreed to do whatever it took to prevent management from laying off workers to protect themselves after they caused the company to near bankruptcy. They are ready to grind the depot operations to a halt because they will not allow the administration to sacrifice their colleagues. They question how they can justify terminating staff but never cut off abused fuel coupons and travel allowances.
They are calling on the board to intervene and ensure that this management gets dissolved, getting rid of the General Manager and the Senior HR Manager, who have failed in their duty.
Coming on to the transport system unit, the insider alleged that Mr Babu Hydara ( Maintenance and Engineering Manager) has been incompetent and corrupt by wasting funds and looting some of the finances, possibly in collusion with both GM Jalllow and the Senior HR manager because they know about Mr Hydara’s alleged mismanagement which they choose to ignore. They gave the example of Mr Hydra’s corruption by claiming that he collected over One Hundred Thousand Dalasis to service staff bus fuel injectors without any evidence of repairs, as the bus has been parked for almost a year, and there have been no consequences.
Furthermore, the company rented staff transportation. They suspected Mr Babu Hydara and the HR Manager were getting kickbacks from the bus rental company. GAMPETROLEUM company pays rent of one hundred twenty thousand Dalasis each month. At the same time, three company-owned buses are parked because the maintenance manager embezzles all the funds for servicing the buses.
They finally question the qualifications and professionalism of Buba Hydara as an engineer, given that he allowed the pumping of contaminated wastewater from the depot to the sea as a cost-cutting measure, polluting the ocean and potentially the extended river network. They wonder why the HR manager, Modou Lamin Gaye, and the General Manager, Yarro Jallow, knowingly ignored the criminal act.
They wish to sound the alarm to ensure the National Environmental Agency NEA makes surprise visits to the depot to investigate the crime committed.
The GAMPETROLEUM depot is turning into an entire crime scene. What will President Barrow and the board of directors take to intervene and stop the rot before the company falls into bankruptcy?
