Cameroon emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Gambia, securing a 3-2 win in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.
The hard-fought victory ensured Cameroon’s place in the round of 16 as Group C runners-up with four points.
Cameroon’s Karl Toko-Ekambi opened the scoring in the 56th minute, but Gambia responded with two consecutive goals, thanks to Ablie Jallow and and Ebrima Colley.
However, with just two minutes remaining, Gambia defender Gomez James inadvertently scored an own goal to level the score.
In injury time, Christopher Wooh secured the victory for Cameroon with a decisive goal.
