The Gambia’s Inspector General of Police wishes to notify the public about the continuing plans for the burial of the police officers who unfortunately died in the recent gunshots at the Sukuta Traffic Light Junction.

PC Pateh Jallow will be put to rest today after Friday prayers in his hometown of Foni Kampasa.

While PC Sang J Gomez’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday 1400hrs at his hometown of Kitty 1.

Abdoulie Sanyang, Inspector General of Police, extends deepest condolences to the families of our departed policemen. Our hearts go out to them, and we ask Allah to give them a seat in Jannatul Firdaws.

The Gambia Police Force reiterates its commitment to conducting a comprehensive investigation into this occurrence.
