The IEC Chairman, Joseph Colley, has warned unregistered political groups against acting like political parties, stating that only officially registered parties can sponsor candidates and access related privileges.

He said the commission will take legal action against any violations and will continue monitoring the political environment with security agencies.

Colley acknowledged some electoral challenges but maintained that the system remains largely credible, urging citizens to report any breaches to help ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
