Human rights activist Madi Jobarteh has been charged with three counts by the Gambia Police Force.

Mr Jobarteh, who is the Country Representative for Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), was yesterday charged with seditious intention, incitement to violence, and false broadcasting of information.

Our sources said his bail had been extended to November 23 this year, while the police had refused to hand over his phone.
