How can the president attend a CANCELLED summit due to the Genocide happening in Gaza?
PRESS STATEMENT FROM THE STATEHOUSE!
President Barrow will depart Banjul International Airport tonight, 7th November 2023, at 9:00 P.M. to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Summits are on the 10th and 11th of November, 2023, respectively.
REPORT OF CANCELLATION OF SUMMIT FROM THE ARAB NEWS OUTLET!
RIYADH: The forthcoming fifth Arab-African Summit, scheduled for Nov. 11, was postponed on Tuesday due to the current developments in Gaza, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The ministry added that the decision had been made following consultation between the League of Arab States and the African Union Commission.
It said the postponement to a later date was announced “to ensure that political events in the region did not affect the Arab-African partnership.”
Why did the Statehouse report in their press release that the summit takes place on the 10th instead of the 11th, as stated by the media reports from Saudi?
Is the statehouse PREMEDITATED a conspiracy by misrepresenting the start day of the summit (from the 11th to the 10th) to justify the president’s plans to leave the Gambia on the 7th far ahead of time (if the summit was happening) to perform private engagements?
Is the president using a Cancelled official trip to cover up his private engagement to perform Umra and engage in conflict of interest transactions with private individuals?
Will President Barrow cancel the trip? If he fails to cancel the trip and travels to Saudi Arabia, would the act constitute a fraudulent transaction?
Did the government not ban non-essential travel for public officers to save money? Who is paying for the vast expense of travel costs and per diem?
