GAMBIA: POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT IN BANJUL

The Police are currently investigating a stabbing incident that led to the tragic death of one Kebba Ndoye, a resident of Banjul, on 04 October 2023.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the alleged suspect fatally stabbed the victim before fleeing the jurisdiction of Banjul.

Significant efforts were made by the police to apprehend the alleged suspect before he could cross the borders into Senegal.

Fortunately, through the existing security cooperation between the Gambia and Senegalese police authorities, the alleged suspect has been arrested.

Consultations are currently underway to facilitate the extradition of the alleged suspect to The Gambia.
