GAMBIA: PRESIDENT BARROW CONFIRMS HIS INTENTION TO RUN IN THE 2026 PRESIDEBTIAL ELECTIONS

President Adama Barrow announced his intention to run for re-election in 2026 during a meeting in Niani Kunting on Saturday.

The president told his audience at the Kunting meeting that people waiting for him to retire will have to wait a little longer.

“They are going around telling people President Barrow wants to step down and that they will soon take over the government. They should know that President Barrow is not going anywhere. What I will unleash on them in 2026 will be more devastating than what I inflicted on them in 2021. ” the president said.

President Adama Barrow was speaking at a meeting held in Niani Kunting on Saturday.
