According to reliable sources, major UDP member Ramzia Diab has formally left the party to join President Adama Barrow’s NPP, as reported by Kerr Fatou Media.

Although this story has not been proven, sources within the UDP have stated that Diab was supposedly offered a job in Malaysia. Undoubtedly, her exit from the UDP was made possible by influential NPP figures like Seedy Ceesay and Demba Sabally, who are part of the party’s administrative wing. Ramzia Diab reportedly met with President Barrow this morning to settle her choice, according to our sources.

When asked about Diab’s meeting with President Barrow, Seedy Ceesay confirmed it, saying, “She has come to join and support President Barrow’s development agenda.”

After Diab’s rise to prominence within the UDP, the political climate in The Gambia is expected to undergo a sea change. As this story progresses, further updates will be provided.
