Vendors in Brikama opposed Manneh and his team’s attempts to demolish their kiosks, which resulted in an increase in tensions during “Operation Clear the Roads.” The chairman of the Brikama Area Council expressed his indignation on Facebook, stating, “Operation Manneh has now descended on Brikama Area Council, arresting one of our councillors and Chairman of our Market Committee, Mamadou Jawo Jallow! This is entirely intolerable! Today, they will be required to apprehend each of us.

He further stated, “I am currently being held at the Brikama District Hospital with other victims who were tear-gassed by Operation Manneh as per the orders of President Adama Barrow!” We will fight to put an end to this operation today until death takes us.

The Chairman is an route to the Banjulinding police station to visit individuals who were detained during the confrontations, according to reports.
