SENEGAL: OUSMANE SONKO WINS WINS HIS CASE: DAKAR COURT DECIDES TO REINSTATE SONKO TO THE ELECTORAL LIST

The judge of the Dakar district court canceled, this Thursday, December 14, the removal of Ousmane Sonko from the electoral lists.

As a reminder, the Dakar court debated last Tuesday whether or not to reinstate Ousmane Sonko on the electoral lists on which his candidacy for the presidential election in February 2024 depends.

The Supreme Court overturned on November 17 a judgment rendered in October, which had put Mr. Sonko back in the race by canceling his removal from the electoral lists following a two-year prison sentence in June in a morals case.
