Picked up at his home on Friday, then placed in police custody, the leader of Pastef, Ousmane Sonko, will be heard on Monday by the Dean of the investigating judges, Maham Diallo, who will then have to decide on his fate.

After the “Sweet beauty” affair and the defamation case opposing him to the Minister of Tourism Mame Mbaye Niang, a new legal soap opera has opened against the leader of Pastef. After being arrested by a mixed team made up of elements of the GIGN and the BIP, then placed in police custody by investigators from the Urban Security (Su) of the central police station in Dakar, for “violent theft of the telephone cell phone of a female gendarme” and “call for insurrection”, Ousmane Sonko, will face, this Monday, the Dean of the examining magistrates, Maham Diallo. The latter will appreciate, according to his intimate conviction, the file to take an order. He can, thus, indict him and place him under a warrant of committal, that is to say send him to prison, pending the continuation of the investigation, which will have to last at least six months,
It should be noted that the judge may grant provisional release to the mayor of Ziguinchor by placing him under judicial control, a measure accompanied by various conditions. In this case, he will have to appear once a month before the judge to sign off, he cannot leave the national territory without the authorization of the judge and he cannot speak publicly about the file.
The third hypothesis is the taking of a dismissal order which will have to close the file at this level. 
It should be recalled that the public prosecutor at the Dakar special court has, in addition to these two offenses cited, added 5 other heavy charges against the main opponent and declared candidate for the next presidential election. Facing the press, this Saturday, Abdou Karim Diop said that the public minister he represents has decided to set public action in motion. To this end, he indicated “Mr. Ousmane Sonko will be prosecuted for calling for insurrection, association of criminals, attack on the security of the State, conspiracy against the authority of the State, acts and maneuvers to compromise the public security and to create serious political disturbances, association of criminals in connection with a terrorist enterprise, but also purse robbery”.
