Violence has erupted in Brufut today amid the killing of one Abdoulie Sanneh, Freedom Newspaper has gathered. Abdoulie Sanneh was allegedly stabbed to death yesterday by Yusupha Bojang, who is said to be the nephew of General Lamin Bojang. He had an argument with the deceased, which later resulted into an altercation, leading to the unfortunate death of Abdoulie Sanneh.
The accused Yusupha Bojang is said to be in hiding. He is trying to avoid the hostile mob, who are currently trying to lay their hands on him.
Abdoulie Sanneh is the second person to be killed in a span of one week. Last week, Ouman Jarju, an auditor at the Internal Audit Department was robbed and killed at the Palma Rima junction.
The Gambian blog Whats-on-Gambia has reported that this is the “second person he killed in less than 2 years.”

“His first victim was also a youngster. He stabbed him during an argument. Yusupha was later released by the Brikama Magistrates’ Court because he was a juvenile,” the online blog claimed.
Both the deceased and the accused person are youngsters.
The police spokesperson Superintendent Lamin Njie was contacted for comment, but he could not be reached at press time.
In another development, spokesman Njie has told us few hours ago, in an interview that Ousman Jarju’s killers have been charged and were supposed to be arraigned in court today. Haddim Jeng and Muhammed Njie have been charged for Jarju’s murder. Haddim is 18 years old. His co accused person Muhammed Njie is 16 years old.
